Middle School Ancient History
2025-2026
In this engaging and comprehensive course, students will embark on a journey through the ancient world, exploring the cultures, civilizations, and key historical events that have shaped human history. Starting with the earliest civilizations in Mesopotamia, and Egypt, we will uncover the origins of writing, law, religion, and art. As we move through the course, we will study the Greeks and Romans, gaining an understanding of the influence of these civilizations on the modern world.
We will make use of historical analysis, storytelling, and critical thinking to explore the achievements and challenges of these ancient cultures. We will engage in activities like map studies, research projects, and discussions to deepen our understanding of key themes such as the development of government, the spread of ancient religions, innovations in technology, and the cultural exchanges that occurred through trade and conquest. By the end of the year, students will not only have a strong foundation in ancient history but also an appreciation for the rich legacies that continue to influence our lives today.
> Medieval History will be offered again in 2026-2027
