2026-2027

Good books engage the mind and the heart. They reflect the true, the good, and the beautiful in ways that make us think more deeply about life. In this high school-level class, students will enjoy reading stories from different time periods, cultures, and genres. They will engage in meaningful discussions about novels, short stories, poetry, and plays. Students will also improve their ability to write for different purposes. Homework will entail answering discussion questions, researching topics, watching films and videos, and note-taking. It will also include composing and revising essays, stories, poems, and creative projects.
